About Annie C.

 Annie C. founder and designer Anne Nichols has been designing and creating accessories and apparel since childhood. Whether she was making a one-of-a-kind handbag, or the perfect dress for a friend's formal event, Anne was always creating something original that couldn't be found off the rack. Through these innovations, she developed an eye for style and an appreciation for the design and development process.
Anne spent the first phase of her career managing creative and marketing teams for publishing, technology and Internet companies. During this period, she nurtured her personal creative energies through art and design classes. Eventually Anne's interest in design won her career focus and she decided to combine her business background with her true love for fashion by launching Annie C. in 2002.
Annie C. is based in the heart of Northern Sonoma wine country in Healdsburg, California.

Inspiration

Anne finds her inspiration from the simplicity and charm of the wine country, antique fairs and everyday objects. She loves taking something old or familiar and looking at it with a fresh perspective, giving it new life with a modern flair. Also influenced by contemporary mixed media artists, Anne likes to blend innovative materials. She is continually seeking out new sources in everything from old textiles to textbooks to contemporary photographs.
